I have been teaching private guitar lessons for close to 35 years and have taught students at all skill levels and ages. Please read my Bio and Educator pages for more information about my professional background and education. I specialize in contemporary guitar styles including jazz, blues, rock, metal, and others. I also have significant educational experience in classical guitar performance and will often teach this approach as an additional focus for my serious contemporary guitar students.
Students
I accept students of all ages and skill levels with a particular interest in early learners (4-7) and those preparing for college level music study and professional careers in music. Both early learners and those who are preparing for college/careers require a teacher with both a deep knowlege of the guitar and pedagogy, and you will find that my education and years of experience provide me with a unique ability to teach these students. In addition, any student of any age who is committed to consistent growth as a guitarist is welcome!
